I can't stand trying to do something in design view cause then you don't know what's going on. Like you could be overlapping 2 objects or something. You really have to do it all in code view, so it would probably be doable with MX04 version too.
When you go to their tutorial, you just copy and paste the source code.
You have the object code like above which is just like putting in a table or something else, you have a folder with 3 or 4 spry assets (which are a css file, a js file and a couple of gifs)
Then you drop the hrefs in your head with the css link and the js link, and one js constructor function (2 actually) a total of 6 lines at the very last of your page just before the body tag.
With the CSS file displaying on the right side of your screen just like in DW8, so you can alter any selector, that you want.
Each widget is just a structure placed within a Div , UL id or 2.
Print this out and you'll see how simple it is. This is a vertical menu with spry, I placed the menu within my div called sidebar2. :
<div id="sidebar2">
<ul id="MenuBar2" class="MenuBarVertical">
<li><a title="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" href="#" alt="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" >Products</a></li>
<li><a title="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" href="#" alt="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" >Services</a></li>
<li><a title="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" href="#" alt="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" >R & D</a></li>
<li><a title="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" href="#" alt="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" >About Us</a></li>
<li><a title="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" href="#" alt="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" >Home</a></li>
<li><a title="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" href="#" alt="Not Ready Yet, See contact info below" >Projects/Gallery</a></li>
</ul>
<!-- end #sidebar2 --></div>
To make it work, (go to the tutorial online at adobe) or if you have lynda.com they have some good tuts on it too for CS3 . (which you don't need)
After you look at it, and you decide that you want to do it, let me know and I'll fire what I've learned your way.
Since its Friday, hows the west coast over there? Any waves?
